V-e-r-y nice, @freck! A big congrats in advance. I'm sure you are chomping at the bit to get your new bike. I have a friend from my cycling days who has a SuperDuke. I believe his is a 2019. He absolutely loves it! He also has a Kawasaki H2 And an older speed triple – 2004 I believe. He prefers the KTM over the others. Please post some photos for us when your new bike comes home to roost. :)

Thanks @Sandi T. i will post some pics when I eventually get to pick her up. I’ll have a nice ride home from the dealers too as it’s about 200 miles from home :grinning:
It needs to come soon too as I’m getting a growing pile of boxes of bits I’ve been buying for it :p

One of my mates just done exactly the same, got it from Premier Bikes in Didcot last week, I am sure he said he paid £10,500 but it was pre-registered in 2019, he has never owned a KTM before & is loving it so far. :)

They are great bikes, enjoy it mate.

Yes mate I am aware of this, done it myself a few years back, I bought the first edition of the Superduke when the new model came out in 2007, saved a fortune over having the latest model. But the hit on second hand values is short lived as they tend to bounce back once the new second hand stock has gone, I paid £7000 for mine, sold it 4 years later for £5000 which compared to other hits I have had, wasn't bad.

This is what I’ve done. It’s unregistered, and I’ve got it for £12k OTR including heated gel seats and suspension upgrade.
Didn’t think that was a bad deal considering a standard 2020 model RRP is £17199

Wow, Billy! That's great. Means (other that the usual moto-related expenses) you rode that bike for £500 a year! Or £41 a month. ;):) That's less than some folks spend on lattes in a month (NOT me, mind you).

I spent more on tyres than depreciation Sandi! :p
It was a great bike though, it is the bike I have owned the longest & when I had to sell it, I was gutted :sob:

Yikes! What a bummer, Billy. The bike clearly didn't fare well. How about you? Was this the accident you've reference in other threads related to breaking bones and such?

I was ok Sandi, a few scrapes & bruises, the bike was a write off. I did run a thread on it at the time, the money from the insurance is was funded my first season in club racing, so every cloud....

I can lose that much on a bike in a matter of months, though do know that’s my own fault! :)

So glad to know it was only the bike in this case, Billy. And nice that the insurance funded your first racing season. Yep, every cloud... I'm with you on that sentiment for sure! :);):kissing_heart:

Just realised I got crossed up between 2 threads, the KTM Superduke I owned for 4 years was bought by a dealer in response to an advert, much to my surprise he didn't try & beat me down on price, I guess he had a customer waiting for it? The KTM RC8 was the bike that was totalled after on 3 rides, as I said got mixed up between this thread & the what's your favourite thread I put up last night. :dizzy:

Ahhh, so you had the Superduke for awhile then, Billy. How'd you like it?? And why did you sell it?

Plus it would be an alternative to a COVID face mask these days. ;)
