Had an email this morning from Destination Triumph to say that they are accepting bookings for test rides.

Filled the online form out and got a call 20 minutes later.

Tiger 900 test ride booked for next Tuesday.

Unless one wants to test ride a Rocket, William. Then one would have to put down a substantial deposit beforehand. At least that is what I was told, when I enquired about a jolly good tootle around on one, by Triumphworld at Chesterfield.

I must admit to a tinge of disappointment with your reply, as I was looking forward to reading it in your own peculiar version of Yorklish.

I emailed the dealer today that I’m getting my new bike from, to find out when I can collect it.
He says they don’t know when they’re going to be open yet so I’m still waiting :sob:
Of course, it’ll start raining as soon as I can get it :sob:

@freck, I somehow missed the memo on you getting a new bike! What is it? What is it? I always say "there's nothing like a new bike to make one feel like a little kid again". Congrats! (in advance) I'l keep my fingers crossed for sunny dry weather when you collect the new ride.

It’s a KTM 1290 SuperDuke GT like the one below.
I’ve got a brand new 2018 model for about £5500 less than the price of a new 2020 model. :grinning:
It’s not as techy as the newest model, not having the TFT dash but I really don’t like the newer headlight so prefer the looks of the older model. Everything else is pretty much the same. The dealer is even doing me the software update for the suspension to the newest spec for free. :grinning:
I’m like a kid in a sweetie shop; can’t wait to pick it up
