      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I&#039;ve just been looking at tyre prices. I&#039;m soon going to need a new front for my Street Twin. It&#039;s currently wearing Conti Road Attack 3&#039;s. I&#039;ve been happy with them so thought I&#039;d go with the same. I cannot believe how prices have shot up. For a front tyre, 100 x 90-18 tubed, (because I changed to spoked wheels) it&#039;s around £170!!!<br />
At first I thought that was a very good price for a pair, but no, it&#039;s just the front. Madness!<br />

My riding style is an &quot;enthusiastic&quot; road rider, I like to get a wriggle on.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[Its now time to change the awful Bridgestones for something with a little n=more grip and that make the Rp look a little more adventurous.  The problem is finding the tyres.  Im going to all the usual websites and putting in the tyre sizes from the current set:  Front 90/90/21, Rear 150/70/17.<br />

I&#039;ve just bought a 400X but I&#039;m not impressed with the 70/30 Metzelers fitted as they tramline badly and are a bit squirelly on damp roads.<br />
All my riding is on tarmac so I&#039;m thinking of putting pure road tyres on.<br />
So far, I&#039;ve learned that Conti Trail Attack 3 or Pirelli Scorpion Trail 3 work well (apparently despite the word Trail in their description, they are both road tyres) and I was wondering whether anyone has direct experience of these or would recommend something else....<br />

The &quot;old&quot; were Avon&#039;s Cobra Chrome. I would have been able to use them for additional 2.000 kilometres without any problems, but I will ride about 4.000 kilometres by the end of next week. Therefore I changed them in advance today. New Avon&#039;s were not available. Therefore I took Metzler Cruistec. After the change I did about 50 kilometres in different weather situations, sunshine and heavy rain and also on different road surfaces....<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Noticed whilst out last night at the Barton Bike Meet a line on both front and rear tyres.  On the front it’s dead centre for the full circumference, the rear is a little offset but again follows the full circumference.  You can feel it with your fingernail, but there’s no gap - like it’s a hard line if that makes sense.  These tyres were fitted last September but only done maybe 400 miles.  The lines weren&#039;t visible when fitted for sure, but I can’t hand on heart say when they started to...<br />

As I like vintage looks on a modern classic, <br />
I would like to put Dunlop TT 100 GP Radial on my Thruxton 1200 R.<br />
I like my Mutants very much but the TT looks even more oldskool and is now available in the right sizes.<br />
I saw official Dunlop photos of these tyres on a Kawasaki Z900RS (110hp) so I guess the Thruxton will endure them haha.<br />
