Not a high speed by other accounts but 127 mph on my 1250 Bandit. It's just the ease with which it reached that speed. I'd just come out of a roundabout and decided to overtake a couple of cars on a dual carriageway. A quick glance to the speedo and I thought "shit, I'd better slow down". It's soooo easy to do daft speeds in the wrong places.
Can talk about this one : 125mph, recorded by Her Majesty's own traffic chappies - cost me a thousand quid And I got to ride a winter with 10 points as well! I saw 170 - 175 on a Blackbird I borrowed for a fortnight across the sea. Too easy to go too fast! That's why I stick to unfaired bikes
162mph BMW S1000rr .. Autobahn also, on my way up to the Assen Moto GP year before last …. the old brain didn't compute at those speeds , had to throttle off. .. got to the digs and suddenly remembered the rear tyre had a plug in it
Sounds about right for a Busa if conditions are right. Speedos are very unreliable once speeds are in the 100+ area and can read anywhere up to @20-30mph high at 150+. I had a GSXR1000 that would indicate 186mph at anything from @160 onwards up to 194.8 genuine MPH.
165mph on the clock on my old Daytona 955i back in 2006 or thereabouts. was fast enough me, things happen very quickly at those speeds
True about gsxr I still have my k7 1000 Gets to speed limiter stupid fast Speedo is all over the place I haven’t rode it for two years 5000 miles brought new by me Don’t know how I survived them 5000 miles Behind me now Being a artic assessor my licence is paramount And I’m too old to bounce down the road Ride safe seen too much tragedy over the years
