Old Fred went to the local rags office to place an obituary for his recently passed wife, the receptionist explained it was 2.50 a word and handed him a form to fill in, after a few minutes Fred handed it back and it read "Doris is dead", when asked if there was anything else he'd like to say, Fred explained that was all he could afford, the receptionist asked Fred to hang on a minute and went to explain the situation to the editor who said to give Fred another three words for free, the receptionist returned to the front desk and handed Fred back the form and said he could add three more words for free, Fred thanked her, added three words which then read " Doris is dead, Metro for sale".
