Mother nature can be a bitch! Some shots of my place after a bit of a blow in 2010. Eight big oaks came down. Missed the above ground pool! Best of all, we had two motorcycles in the garage. Garage has a flat concrete roof. A huge branch came down like a spear and punched a hole in the roof about the size of a dinner plate, showering concrete chunks all over the interior. The bikes were not touched! Months of clean-up! Insurance made it all better. No one was hurt. Weather geeks said it wasn't a tornado. Straight lie 90 MPH winds. Cut a swath like the below about 75 yards wide across South Jersey ten miles. I know it's not like the Mid-West where tornados kill people and literally flatten houses, but it was scary.
Storm Eunice left 1.4 million homes without power. (source BBC) So potentially that's 1.4 million electric vehicle owners unable to get to work in the morning.
