Loved the SD, had it 4 years, had to sell it because I needed the money to take my daughter to Disneyland in Florida, long story.

Hmmm...well. I do love a long story. Or is that -- I love a good story? Perhaps yours is a good long story, Billy. I'm all ears (uh, eyes).

Not that long really, when I broke my leg in a crash in 2006, we were going to Disney for Christmas, had to cancel as I needed further surgery at the time we were due to go. Insurance company would refund my fare but said the rest of the family could go, obviously they wouldn’t go so we lost the money for the trip. Promised my daughter I would take her another time. Couldn’t quite afford it so the Super Duke got sold in 2011 so we could go while she was still a kid.

That's a good story, Billy. Well, not the part about your crash and broken leg and surgeries. But about you selling off a bike you loved for a daughter who you loved more. It reminds me of "The Gift of the Magi" in a dad & daughter sort of way. :) You're a good man...the insurance company not so much.

Well I’m 6’2” with a 36” inside leg so have never had any problems with tall bikes. Well apart from a Mk1 KTM Adventure which I couldn’t flat foot. It was huge!

You are lucky. There are many bikes that I have liked but not been able to own....

My best girlfriend is in the same boat as you, Wessa. She's just a smidge over 5 feet tall. Currently she's on an Indian Scout and even that she had to change seat, bars, and foot controls for it to work for her. Before that she was on a H-D Sportster (the Iron model) and had to do similar mods to that bike. I'm grateful and glad to be tall enough with long enough legs to ride most all the bikes that interest me. That said, I can just barely flat foot on my Speed Triple and that's with the Triumph Low seat made for the Speedy.
