I try to start my 1997 900 Sprint at least once a week. Went out and all it does it click when I hit the starter button. Battery is charged all the way, Do starters hang up sometimes ? I put it in gear and moved it back and fourth and nothing. What do I do ?

The likeliest thing is the battery simply giving out under load. How old is it? If you have a multimeter check the voltage drop as you press the starter button. It may show 12.7v at rest but if it goes below 10.5v or so under load the battery is probably shot. Failing that, it could be a dying relay. I assume all battery straps and earth straps are clean/tight.

My old tiger did this once, it was down to a bad ground in the clutch switch loom, only found by belling out connections
