Thanks for posting Al especially in these worrying times. Bad Berty was a very nice place especially the schnitzel house, those goats cheese ones were yummy
Thanks, Trippy. My pelvis fracture has healed up nicely but unfortunately I need a second surgery on the elbow. Oh well, it will be healed up one of these days. I always so enjoy your photos. Keep digging through your supply and “feeding” us here on the forum through this!
First ride out since Lockdown and Boy did it feel good! Took it steady expecting loads of out of practice drivers but roads were quiet thankfully. View up the Lyth Valley with a lovely empty road Chimney in the background is Dickie Pink, the last remaining Iron Ore Mine chimney in the Furness area. It was part of Woodbine Pit which was the last working mine in Furness closing in 1944.
First socially-distanced ride yesterday of about 120 miles around the lanes of N.Essex into Suffolk with a good buddy of mine. Great to be out riding where you choose in such lovely weather. Another ride planned for tomorrow with another mate. Probably head to the east coast where it will be a bit less scorching.
Lovely evening spin up to Gummers How and round Bowness, Ambleside and Coniston. View from Gummers How. Overlooking the estuary at Greenodd Who needs drugs
Gorgeous bike and photos, @Dawsy! Glad you’re able to finally get out and ride. But regarding your last question of who needs drugs, I do! I haven’t ridden a motorcycle since last January and I’ve about hit my limit on patience. Thank goodness for alcohol at least!
Nice ride around Dorset today, including a stop for ice cream at Abbotsbury. Amazing views of Chesil beach and Portland.
@Sandi T. Good point there Sandi. Sometimes drugs, including alcohol are the only answer! You have the longest part of your recovery behind you now so stick with it, you will be flying along on your Speedy before long I am sure Healing vibes to you
Bit of a blast yesterday in the south Oxfordshire dusk; before the rain sets in today... ...I love my bike...
When the (former) inlaws were still in the Lakes (Winster village) I did quite a bit of riding there. Loved it.
If you turn left at the Brown Horse towards Cartmel Fell after a few miles there's a ford on your right - we towed many an unexpecting tourist out of that! It was often deeper than anticipated...
