Never been a cat man but the little runt we got 10 yrs ago acts more like dog than cat, other than bringing beat up furries to the door. She begs at the table steals socks and loves a plant pot!!
We brought Tia home on Wednesday, (yaay), after she had had her last lot of injections etc. She has settled right in... I'll get a fresh photo soon as she sits still long enough!
Great photo, DD! Here's one of our Annie on her cool pad. Like your pooch, she wasn't too interested in it when we first got it but now she loves the thing!
I don’t remember if my wee dog made an appearance on this thread... she’s an ugly beast, vicious and mean... hates attention and has generally no love given to her ever...
In addition to her gel cool mat, Annie also has a cool coat. The inner layer is a thin, soft chamois material and the outer layer is a fabric designed to be reflective. It has a clip at her chest and one under her belly. You soak it then squeeze out the excess water like a motorcycle cooling vest. I keep it in the fridge when not in use so when I put it on her it's already nice and cool. Plus it's very sparkly and pretty--Annie is a "girly girl" pup. Here's my Annie Lou sporting her beautiful Cloud Cape.
I found this on the door when I came home: it reads: Hi, when one of you comes home knock on our door - your dog is in our garden, she escaped..."
I was browsing back through photos in the Our Pets thread and ran across this one. So THAT's the Dozer in Dozer's Dad. Mystery solved! He's a very handsome chap.
Foxx looks pretty fierce guarding his biscuit! Those are some mighty cute dogs, Ron. I like the Pomeranian 101 book in the background too. I'm sure that crown has special meaning.
Oh, I'm so sorry, DD. I should probably have continued reading the thread. What a handsome gentleman he was. And a character, I'm sure! The boxer we had prior to our Annie--Louie--had a heart problem like your Dozer. Trouble breathing. Just hanging on. And we had to make the same difficult decision. It is so incredibly heart-breaking to lose our beloved canine companions. They each take a bit of our hearts with them when they leave us. But they leave us a bigger bit of theirs. As I've said before, the world would be a much better place if humans were more like dogs.
Had to take my last English Springer Spaniel to the vets today for major surgery. She’s the last of the bloodline that I’ve bred from for many years. Had a phone call from the vets to say she’s out of surgery and looks ok at the moment, so fingers crossed. This mornings photo in the fields near my house.
