All round common sense would have avoided it all!

However, as far as I can tell, there weren't parked vehicles involved, it was moving traffic that happened to be stationary just at this moment.

Her fault if you can't be arsed to walk to crossing pay more attention or you get run over
I think it's called jay walking in the good old US of A should be illegal here too

It was an accident that fortunately wasn't much worse. We all make mistakes, and there but for the grace of God... So I'm not going to name-call. She is very likely to take much more care stepping out from between vehicles in future, and maybe, just maybe, the rider will slow down a bit and be more alert for pedestrians stepping out. 15 mph sounds too fast to me for the road conditions and circumstances.

interesting views throughout...but although she didn't look that rider now has a damaged bike and inconvenience of repair and possible injury..they may have avoided this by slowing down and better positioning passing the lorry..if we wholly blame the pedestrian perhaps we should reflect on where we would be 'filtering' (overtaking) to avoid being sucked into a similar incident ourselves

I've done the IAM and Rospa route and they are both worthwhile.I have a Thruxton R and a couple of Ducati sports bikes. I do trackdays and would describe my riding as quick. However I would have been filtering slower and allowing a better view to me and for me.....but the lady was at fault!

Disagree all you like but lets hope this doesn't happen to you! See who's in the wrong then. Best to let people cross without paying attention NOT.
As a previous post said if it was a emergency vehicle she would be dead

He wasn't riding down a footpath. She was walking in the road. If the accident had happened on a motorway there would be no discussion.
