I paid £250 for the pair, ride in, ride out. A while ago there was a new bike shop opened up just around the corner from our office. I went in to ask the cost of a new pair of tyres and when he told me I asked if that was 'ride in, ride out'. He looked at me blankly, thought about it for a minute then said "No, you'll have to stop". Jeez...
Just been looking on-line so far - but emailed a local mobile tyre supplier/fitter - awaiting a price, will let you know.
mmm - yes I'll ask for a discount as when i change em' they'll be good for track days - money saving tip - thanks pig :upyeah:
Got a quote today from a guy who runs a mobile supply/fitting service - he visits home or work, the pair fitted £270. He's done tyres for a few friends and is highly recommended.
Try Crossans in Northern Ireland they are usually the cheapest place to get tyres from as long as you can get someone to fit them Metezler Z8's are also worth a look
I looked at the K8's and they were slightly cheaper but still the Pilot Road 3's came more highly recommended - now fitted! :upyeah:
You'll find it hard to ease the chicken strips away - I put a 55 on mine so that it tips in a little quicker and the cs on the front is smaller than on the rear. But persevere, my friend...
I was hoping to get out on it today and see how they feel as the tyres haven't seen the road yet! But I'm nursing a cracking hangover...
