    Hi,

Have you managed to find a plug that actually stays in the socket?

I was trying to use it recently but the spring loaded cap kept forcing the plug out!

Be careful of wiring straight to battery, as it'll drain your battery when you're not using the bike. Pick up a small relay and put a switched live through it (eg front side light), so the USB only works when the ignition is on. It's easy to do and will save heartache.
Same applies for aftermarket heated grips etc.
(If you want to use it to charge your bt helmet when you're away from the bike, then put a little switch on it)

I'll probably take the standard cigar lighter socket I wired to the Fazer and find somewhere on the sprint for it.

My usb has a dummy plug....zero discharge, and for longer periods it gets trickle charged so I'm not to worried about discharging
