For a few weeks the frontend of my Speedmaster hasn't felt right, at first I thought I was imagining things but on today's ride I convinced myself that something really wasn't right and so decided to pop by the dealers. On the way there I was thinking what it could be, it felt like a steering head bearing problem but they couldn't be worn on a 7 month old bike could they? Then I thought to check the head nut and got quite a shock when I realised I could turn it by hand  Needless to say I tightened it as best I could and continued riding gingerly to the dealers who tightened it properly.

With also having bits falling off my exhausts I wonder what else is loose on the bike, will start checking fixings tomorrow I think.

With the old oil leak and an intermittent immobiliser problem I still have, this makes 4 issue now on a new bike :(

:( You’ve definitely been a bit unlucky mate
I’ll be giving NUDGER a good check over before me and wor lass go to the Isle of Man :)
When I first got this bike I did a thorough check before setting off for Welsh Wales for the GMU :)
The only thing I found that concerned me was the rear foot peg bolts :(
Went to give them a nip up and they just turned  they weren’t loose as such but I wasn’t sure at the time if they went straight into the frame or not
Turns out they go through the frame and are held with nuts on the inside
Took one off and found that they were ordinary nuts with no kind of lock washers on
Could easily of come undone over time  so I replaced all four of them with nylock nuts :)
