I was riding on a cross country tour and when I would stop for fuel at a gas station, it would not start, the display would light up but no start. I would fool around with the battery connections, and it would start. It would be fine until the next fuel stop, then the same thing. I then decided to take it to a dealership in Ottawa, and they kindly took it in bypassing the service que. They fixed it in about 20 minutes. They said the battery ground connection was not making good connection. I never had a problem since, but when taking my battery out every winter to charge indoors, I am very careful when reinstalling the battery and keeping those connections immaculately clean.

On another note. I had the Triumph aux power plug accessory installed when I purchased the bike, and this added more extra wires directly to the battery terminals. When these connections get dirty over the year, they can lead to power issues. I have since removed the extra connections on the terminals and connected instead to the aux 12v power plug under the tank. This leaves only one connection per terminal for better continuity.

So that is my story. I've heard several people with same sort of issues and that the ground connection on this bike can cause seemingly mysterious power issues when it can be fixed easily. You may or may not have this kind of problem, but thought I would relate since it might help others as well.

I took mine to a euro bike mechanic for the same issue and he told me the ground was not secured to the battery, and the connection was grounding out somewhere else in the bike. He fixed the issue and I have not had a problem since. Beyond tightening the terminal connections on the battery I am not sure what else he did.

I have the exact same paint scheme and it seems to turn heads everywhere. I went a step further and got some black vinyl from a local sticker shop and I love it even more

@Aiden the black double strips on tank really stands out, and the wraps o nthe pipes makes it look aggressive and cool. Now what, what is the one in the garage with those raised tracker bars ?
