This was the final result, The low registration plate and brown seat didn't convince me so I made a more classic style If this was my bike a would invested a little bit more money making it better but as cheap compromise I believe it looks ok
I was going to complain about the brown seat, then saw next pictures (but who am I to complain about your work?? )
I begun as young child doing the mantinence on my small wheel Suzuki Rm 50cc mini cross and haven’t stopped with bikes since. I have had a company also involved in racing building composite body’s for GT cars, specially involved with Porsche.
England is full of marvelous craftsmanship and that is a fact! I’m a big fan of everything on wheels from kit cars, track cars, superbikes to classics motorcycles, and what I do isn't nothing special, My stuff is just what a amateur can make with basic tool at home. As an example Just to have fun at the local track I converted VW FunCup car swapping the old golf 1,8L engine for a Audi S4 4.2L V8 and Porsche hubes and wheels. It didn’t cost much to do and I Gad the money back ones it was sold after a couple of years of fun, Did I discover something new, No I just put old parts together And you better come over here northern Europe is to cold for old tropical vikings Cheers Jan
Ha! You "just" put old parts together?? That's the biggest understatement I've heard in a very long time, Jan BTW, I understand your feelings about a place being "too cold for old tropical vikings". I'm an old viking myself (my heritage is nearly 100% Swede) but I'm an old desert viking. I'd like to be a tropical one, though--at least part of the year! I grew up in cold Minnesota and left as soon as I was able.
I was born in Sweden but at 15 me and my parents moved to the Canary island, I went around living in other places but as time past I had the feeling I belong to this small islands in the middle of nothing. The clime is good, people nice (mostly) and you can still leave children playing alone in the park with out worry about them, Sad to say but safety is luxury in this world,
Well El Viking I echo everyone's comments, your work is top draw, I really like how your mind works, you look at a project in your head, work out how you'd like it and press on, no drawings, just plain excellent workmanship, a man that clearly has vision. You remind me of a guy I once met on the fringes of the desert in Egypt, like you he turned out some magical Motorcycles. You keep us all enthralled with your talent, and a very charitable nature, the world would be a better place with more like you. Keep the projects coming.
That’s very flattering, I have never seen myself as more then a handy person who has the opportunity to make what I most like to do at my spare time. The first stages on a new project is very intensive, I lay in bed during the night just “day dreaming”. Second step is when I beguine poring the bike to parts having a more close look. Third, I have a small blue plastic stool who my daughter used when she was a small child, I use to sit on it and look at the bike just fantasying very often during the process. 4., I cut off parts I don’t like, bleed and swears... Normaly I don’t know how the bike will be until it’s finished, as I use to change mind frequently as things goes on.... Many times I choose colours in the same paint shop.. So I’m decently not a professional! And it’s exactly that I enjoy most. At work I’m professional (Today I have been doing a helideck certification at a oil rig). Doing my hobby it’s just a matter of passion and improvisation, nothing serious at all! Just a game
Very humble man I think most people have an idea, or a vision, then talk themselves out of it because of what might be difficult or might not work.
Just do it, and if it’s not good just do it again and again again again until you feel satisfied. But one very important thing is having a small blue children plastic stool..
