The whole thing has perplexed me ever since. He gives you the keys to go for a test ride after the transfer of vapourware is done and before you pay. I noticed a difference, so I paid up. On the way home (130 miles) it felt utterly transformed. A year later, it still feels fantastic. Would I go there with a second bike? Mmmm...I'd probably try something more physical - like a Power Commander...because I can see the plastic box, so therefore it must be doing something. Thinking of going black outer with red inner for the Oberon fuel cap, as my bike is white with red accents
I nearly did that...after deliberating at Oberon's show stand for several hours I played it safe in the end - but you should do it
I finally got they s22 on and I’m pretty impressed..managing to get out a fair bit now..been a long haul with this lockdown and my wife catching covid(she’s a nurse). Noticed the Sc project clip I put up doesn’t work.ill need to get it up again I think my wee boy deleted it. Been getting a lot of compliments about how it sounds...really does sound amazing when riding it..happy man.
No new parts to report and no fiddling with stuff - just a Saturday afternoon ride in the Essex lanes
Finally, I found the one! I've been patiently waiting for a low mileage 'old white' RS without a quickshifter to come along & now I have one, and, with all the extra's I wanted; Triumph Fly Screen Triumph Heated Grips Triumph Tank Pad Evo Tech Tail Tidy Evo Tech Radiator Guards Part exchanged my 2009 Aprilia RSV1000R & 2015 Speed Triple R for this 2019, 2100 mile RS. And it came with a fresh service & 2 years/5k miles warranty. Great deal from Teasdale Motorcycles at Thirsk, who also let me keep my Evo Tech Axle Protectors, pillion grab rail, & mirrors from my R. I've added; R&G Bar End Sliders R&G Lower Engine Case Sliders Evo Tech Engine Crash Protection Loving it, such a free spinning engine, great dash, & feels a little smaller & more agile than the 2015 R - almost like I've got on a Street RS with added go!
That's a fantastic example @Dickie - looks amazing Some choice options too! I've not ridden a 2015 version, but the difference between my 2016 and 2018 felt night and day, so I can imagine why you make a comparison with the Street.
Have you removed the rear light finisher/surround for the grab rail as it’s part of the kit as got cutouts in it for grab rail
Just got this from Sportsbikeshop. Held iconic in medium. Fits brilliant and very sturdy. only £43! Well recommend chaps.
I've had 3 Triumphs done by them and been absolutely delighted with the results. Apologies if this info is already out but what year is your bike ? I'm looking at a 2018 and if I manage to get one a visit to Hilltop will be a top priority. thanks.
