Chris was the owner and he also had a scooter fetish If the X7 was out of action (probably just out of fuel but we were skint spprentices) then he'd pick me up on a right heap of junk. Lambretta, Vespa I don't know but it had a big Amal carb which use to piss petrol back out on the overrun all over the passengers foot
Without a doubt my R 100 RT. Red smoke. Keep it up to 60 in the rain and only your toes would get wet. BTW as a long time Harley guy I call BS on the 130 mph big twin.
Agree on a standard Harley 100-110 is probably top speed, mine was the Twin cam88 engine with a stage 3 big bore kit and other go faster stuff..easily do 130MPH
Oh I love this bike. When I am ready to own a 2nd bike....this is defo the one I will be looking to purchase.....R1200S
Had mine for 5 years, the longest I’ve ever kept a bike. Sold it to my cousin who’s petrified of it and doesn’t ride it much, I bet he hasn’t put 500 miles on it in the past 5/6 years, shame really because it went like hell.
Well, the x7 is the bike I rode over my ‘testers’ foot when asked to ride at walking pace on my test, I passed!! I still have half of the bike somewhere in my fleet!
Part of me fancies one as it’s the prettier one of the r1100s but I know it’s not practical so I run a rockster as a second bike to my Bonneville
I have toyed with the idea of asking him to sell it back to me, but it’s not for me anymore the roads are just too busy nowadays
