Guys. Can someone with a late model Tiger XCa 800 have a look on the Off Side of their bike just above where the exhaust mounts to the frame and tell me if there is a hole that goes under the seat please. I have one however I have never noticed it before and wondering if something has been left off when it when into the shop for some warranty work?

    Thanks for looking
    Andy

Yep, got one there as well... (2018 XC 800).

My guess it that the Tiger designers live by this motto "a clean bike is a sign of a sick mind" and put the hole there to give the dirt a chance to get inside...

The holes are obviously put into various places to cut down on the overall weight and help battery cooling
