I used to be pleased if I got it at all. Now Mrs Oldskool is in on the act and it’s a race to get it in the least rows and least time. I lost on both counts today with a 4, whilst she got it in a fluky 3 .. But she started whilst I made the tea and coffee ….so I’m claiming a speed win and a number of lines loss. My letters were more squarely aligned in the boxes as well….or so I told her… Coffee still hot..
It’s a real word, it describes the noise in your head when you’ve been in a swimming pool and have gone to the change-rooms... after stooping to remove your costume, when you stand up straight and hit your head on a metal locker door that has been carelessly left open!
A FAIL today - last three guesses I had the last four letters in the correct order...just struck very unlucky with the first ones I tried!!!!
With three letters including one in the right place after my first two salvos I thought it was going to be a quick one. Not so, it took an hour as I had at least 7 possible words.
Took all six , had three letters from third row . Mix and match took two more , final guess was exactly that !!
Has anyone had a look at the settings on Wordle? There is a Hard Mode which insists that all revealed hints must be used in subsequent guesses. it had never occurred to me to do anything else. But when you think about it with a five by six matrix you have 25 slots to get 5 out of 24 possible letters before your final guess.
I saw that as well Wessa . I guess we will have loads of advert banners down the sides of the tables, just like a forum I sometimes use …..
Well done @Hubaxe, I did a two separate word start and pull a 3 out of the bag as well @Dawsy - lets hope it remains free, I’ve started on a daily sudoku challenge too, which is free (takes me a lot longer - 20 min odd time investment - and advert free... but I’m not sure if my AV is ad blocking)
