Well whoever is presenting just maintain a healthy cynicism about ‘production values’ and the desire to entertain more than inform.
It was the Cobra episode that peeled away quite a lot of smoke and mirrors for me. Having built an identical Gardner Douglas a number of things just did not add up about exhaust replacement, lambda, carburettor jetting, emissions, SVA and registration.....they never mentioned nor accounted for the fact that they had dropped a new crate engine in it.

But surely you have staff, Dear Boy? :p

That is the Officers Mess at the old Army HQ Scotland - also, alas, no more. It was a WWII requisition no one wanted back as it was a money pit and then under the airport flight path.

Speaking of freighting, the engine came back from a California performance shop in bits courtesy of RAF mates. Returning cargo flights from the annual Red Flag exercises had space for personal freight. I paid the import duty and collected from Brize Norton. My wife was underwhelmed catching me fitting piston rings in the living room while watching telly.....

Oddly enough, on the new episode I watched the other night - the Escort in the states - they put the costs up at the end and stated that there were 54 hours labour (it didn't tell us what the cost was though)

Next time you see Edd, give him a bottle of Gunk, Muc-Off and a paint brush. :p

SO he can clean all the road crap off his cars before he strips them and so won't get all that crap in on reassembly !!!!:D:cool:
