Been watching a documentary about a sunk U-boat, how they found it, dive on it etc... Thank gods I recorded it, and can fast forward through the adverts. They keep hammering adverts for saving the snow leopard... Okay, worthy thing to do, but you get a cuddly leopard, a calendar, regular mailings.... How much of the £3 a month saves the leopard? And elephants! An elephant is killed by poachers every minute according to this advert. That's 10080 a week... Its a wonder there are any left to save!
looks like the ads are working just as intended.....love 'em or hate 'em, you're taking notice. I have to say I particularly dislike the US-style "add-ons" and anything that isn't sending itself up, or has a jolly, musical feel or uses a particularly favourite piece of music. Grrr. And I can't recall who any of them are for, so they're not doing too well in selling me anything. Fake dentists and stupid tarts with white teeth? But Kit-Kat, Hamlet, Brooke Bond, that old favourite Smash, giant hedgehogs squashing cars (a bit insensitive but definitely refreshingly different), anything from Aardman etc all got my vote back in the day. Now I don't watch much TV of any sort; too much to do, and too little time to do it in. The sands of time are running out......
Any advert that has the Odious duo of Ant n Dec gets my vote for most hated. they are like a f*cking plague on the TV, I find them as funny as a visit to the dentist, come to think of it they have the same effect on me as the drill . Rant over
