I'm with Big Sandy, DD, and joe in that I've loved all my bikes and it's difficult to choose just one as the most fun bike I've owned. That said, if forced to choose just one it would be my 2019 Speed Triple RS. I absolutely love to ride that bike! :grinning:

I currently have three different bikes. I appreciate each one for it's own individual character. A really good motorcycle has personality. I choose what I will ride that day depending on the task at hand and the mood I'm in. I get teased by my riding buddies about having to call me early before we go riding so I have time to decide what I'm going to ride :). All in good fun. Known all those guy between 20-50 years. ...J.D.

I currently have three bikes, too, Wire-Wheels, and choose which bike to ride on any particular day based on the same two things as you do--the task at hand and my mood. People often ask me which of the three is my favorite and I really can't answer because, like you, I appreciate each of them for its particular character, purpose, and style.

The most reliable was my 89 Honda Transalp 600 just put fuel in and go still own this bike.

The BMW K100LT was also reliable and able to do galactic mileages this was when BMW engineered bikes before the bean counters got hold and they now trade on past reliability with Chinese parts.

The Buell XB1200 was an Animal went like grease shit and the front wheel would lift in any gear BUT I could never trust it, It was not when we get there but if, you know what I mean.

all the bikes I have owned have been fun, my 1974 rd200 which I bought and rode illegally as a 16 year old probably wins as the most fun as it was my ride for the first few years of on the rode biking, it was quick as anything thru the country lanes where I grew up and made me smile so many times.
My Suzuki gs750 was the first big bike I owned after passing my test, god I loved that bike.

For most fun it’s a toss up between the Edwards rep Mille and the 999S Ducati I used to own.
Have to say though that almost any bike I’ve ridden has been fun, some a little more than others. Like the MT-01 I had as a courtesy bike, it was bonkers and would make everything, including your eyeballs vibrate sat at the lights! :joy:

Like most I find it difficult to pick one particular bike out as a favorite. Having rode sports bikes when I was a little younger, moving to a crusers, onto adventure bikes, back to a cruiser and then onto modern classics, my bikes I think have been reflective of my mood and a particular time in my life. One thing I can say is that I have enjoyed them all for different reasons and I hope to continue riding and enjoying my bikes for a long time to come.

The bike that has given me the most pleasure - as opposed to fun - has to be my Trident 900. Bought new in 1995 and I'm still looking (but not too hard) for an excuse to swap it after 54,000 miles.
Most fun bikes have been a 1965 Yamaha 250cc YDS3 - took off like a scalded cat around 5,000rpm with a banshee yowl as accompaniment. My Laverda 500cc Montjiuc had the knack of setting off car alarms as I went past on it. It went bloody well for a 500! And finally, my Daytona 955i Centennial was the quickest thing I've ever had and provided fun and frolics at the twist of the wrist (no, not that one!).
TBH the only bike that was a 'wrong 'un' was my 1958 framed/1960 engined Norton 500 Dominator 88 which took a perverse delight in breaking and/or unscrewing itself to pieces - but even that had good moments as anything with a lusty engine in a Featherbed frame should do!

I would tend to agree, the K5 was a game changer, when I first got it I remember the sheer lunacy that happened as the rev counter swept through 9,000rpm .... arrrrrh! Then sitting staring at it after a ride wondering how anything could be that fast!
But I find it hard to choose between all the great bikes I have owned, the KTM Super Duke was awesome & I loved it as well, then there was the Street Triple R Oh & the 765RS .

I think after the K5/6 they started with traction control & switchable rider modes etc, basically made them a lot more manageable and harder to high side yourself into the next century on!

For me it has to be the one I still have Ducati Diavel Gen 1 - much modified. the 165hp, gearing mod, Termi exhaust and loads of other adds make this bike the best from my perspective, it just wants to rip your arms off!
