afraid not, although i seem to recall kissing a banana slug a long time ago. and ive still never eaten haggis, so i have that going for me
You really should try haggis. It is very good and very filling. There is apparently a vegetarian version of haggis available!!! Why I have no idea. Why a veggie would want to eat a version of a meat product I cannot think.
Simple really, look at the rest of their life, (most .. or a lot ) ot them are fruitloops ? Apart from a daughter, a full on vegan, but admittedly, her grub is highly edible .... just don't ask what some of the stuff in it is ? ... and maybe the Haggis I tried was made by someone whom was out to kill as many as possible ? P/S .. brother-in-law is named Haggis, and he's a tastless baarstaid ?
fruitloop here! luckily for me i am a vegetarian, so eating a boiled sheep stomach stuffed with oats and offal isnt anything i need to look forward to
lol it mostly works tbe other way, in my experience. most meateaters seem to have a horror-filled fascination for vegetarians. you should try some of the indian food. in my experience its first rate
And that's what really pi55es me off. Companies pander to these whims and the majority have to accept it. I once asked the woman shop assistant where the non- vegan sweet rack was as this one clearly said " Vegan Friendly" "Oh you won't be able to tell, just eat those!!!" Sort of missed the point entirely, didn't she? I did suggest, if that's the case, then why couldn't they have been left as they were as the texture now was inferior.
I eat Indian food every week at the same restaurant. Have done for over thirty years. Never the vegetarian options though, well not just them. Saag paneer is a good side dish. Been going that long and that often the staff try out new menu options on me. I always find it strange that vegetarians expect others to accommodate their diet but don’t want to reciprocate the favour. Kind of sums them up for me.
Glenn might have mentioned it first, but you declared yourself one... For me, I'm not horror-filled by it, I just don't get it - I enjoy my meat, an intend to keep doing just that. And considering our teethset I reckon we're supposed to. If people wish to abstain fine by me, but don't (which you don't do) attack me for enjoying it.
As a Scotsman, I love a bit of haggis and although traditionally it is cooked in the sheeps stomach, many now use a sausage skin casing. Both are just for cooking the haggis in and are not eaten! Vegetarian versions can be very good too, after all a lot of the recipe is onions, cereals and spices. Beans replace the 'meat parts'. Worth giving it a try!

Getting back to the original subject..... I'll really shock you..... I'm teetotal, initially for health reasons, now by choice!!
You've no business being in this topic then - unless you want to discuss the advantages of Yasmin over Darjeeling...
for me, i dont like meat for ethical reasons, buts its really easy to be a vegetarian because i dont like eating the stuff anyway. but i dont bother other people over what they eat. my house is full of carnivores. but i confess that haggis in any form is still incomprehensible to me. and balut. i have never yet been drunk enough to eat balut.
Exactly. Went in a cafe a few months back.... oh God here we go. The menu was shocking and didn't cater for meat eaters in any way whatsoever, all sickly cheese dishes and such. We walked straight back out. Then there's fish..... some veggies accept killing fish...... but not cows/pigs etc due to ethical grounds Enforced culture/ life choices is very much like religion in my book, personal choice and each to their own which should be respected both ways, but it isn't.
