Jez, what do you think about Connemara Single Malt in comparison? I did not try the Bushmills yet but will. Just curious about your thoughts! (They are both sold for 25,- over here; I think the Connemara is more on the smoky side...!?)
Yes, Asbach is German. The local advertising went: ‚Im Asbach Uralt lebt der Geist des Weines‘ (In an Asbach there dwells the spirit of the wine...) As a child, I always thought of ghosts (as in jinn), living inside the bottle....
Then it definitely dodged my ever watchful alcoholic‘s eyes... Darn, I keep telling people this forum is a great place to discover worlds, no man has visited yet... Cheers!
On my second pint of Abbott, followed by some vino & a couple of g & t's before bed. Merry Christmas everyone.
Just back from gigging, half a bottle of Cune Rioja 2014 sliding down nicely whilst Cream playing in the background! Loverlee!!
Just had a cup of coffee suitably fortified with a goodly slug of rum (which I was just road testing prior to its use in my homemade rum sauce to accompany the Christmas pudding).
Tonight opened with a couple of White Russians, followed by an excellent Cabernet Sauvignon with the meal, looking forward to a few Buffalo bourbon shots before bed... Happy Christmas folks
Just back from the new Star Wars film, got a Bud. I find an American piss beer goes well with the Munchy Box, you know like when they say - red wine goes with beef - and all that bollox !!!!! Pizza & a Nastro Azzurro, Curry & a Kingfisher, Bud & a Munchy box.
Started off with Leffe Blonde and Doritos; then moved on to a plateau of mixed cheeses and 3 ltrs of Roche Mazet Cabernet Sauvignon; now onto delicious chocolates and Black Mount cream liqueur. Not too shabby....................................
Not what I'm drinking, but from what! A drinking horn, another cool pressie from the missus. You can't put it down, so you drink more!! BRILLIANT.
