@MrOrange, like you, I always manage to pick a team to cheer for when "my" team isn't in a major league finals be it hockey, football, basketball, or baseball. In a way, the team I root for picks me. Even if I don't have a preference going in to the game or the first game in the series, within about 10 minutes one of the two teams catches my fancy for one reason or another and then that's the team I root for. Mr. Sandi is somehow able to remain neutral...not one of my strong points.
Same here, I usually pick the team with the biggest goon or whoever gets the biggest hit in first !!! Ex- D man here. Never scored a single competitive goal playing, but boy did I get some excellent hits in
Me and my son used to try to pick out hilarious player names while watching sports. Once we saw, sitting next to each other on the Miami Hurricanes sideline, players named Cruddup and Shittaker -you can't make that stuff up!
OMG, @JtC! Speaking of funny player names, have you and your son seen this YouTube video series by Key and Peele called “East/West College Bowl”? I think there are three videos in the same vein. I’ve seen them all multiple times and laugh pretty much just as hard every time, maybe even harder knowing what to expect. Enjoy!
My dear old Yorkshire born Mother in law had a wicked sense of humour. Several years ago when the World Cup was on TV she used to enjoy watching all of the matches and would love to phone us up when Germany were playing, with a giggle she’ d say “ Germany have got Kuntz on the pitch”
I had to close my office door so people wouldn't think I'm going crazy -ok, they do think I'm crazy already, I just didn't want them to know I was watching the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. OMG!!! Thanks for sharing that.
Thought you'd appreciate this video, JtC. As I said, I think there are three of these videos. I laugh my a*s off every time I watch them--even when I know what's coming. Now I can't watch sports--particularly football--without thinking of these Key & Peele spoofs when I hear a "unique" player name.

Wow, spectacular! I think that's the best Man Cave I've ever seen. Of course, I've only seen some photos here and there since they have been MAN caves. Seems like a pretty good deal for sheltering-in-place, lockdown, whatever you call it. Especially with that big black fridge (I'm assuming) right next to the big black television. So cool, so inviting.
