I'm still mainly a Scotch man. Have to admit I had my first ever taste of bourbon at my son's on Sunday - one of the highly rated ones in the Whisk(e)y Bible. Quite sweet and treacly, but pretty damn nice. Anyway Jim Murray of the Bible rates Bushmills best of the Irish affordable, and Bushmills Black Bush best of the Irish blends. To share with Santa I was gonna treat myself to a bottle of Irish Redbreast 21yr old which Jim rates current runner up whisky of the year. Out of stock at the Whisky Exchange atm though
Bundaberg rum DD, it’s an Aussie brand made in Queensland from Queensland sugar cane. You can get it over here.
I know I’m not going to get any sympathy here but 12 hours after returning to Blighty I’m bedridden with the mother of all colds, lagavulin is the only one that I can taste!!
I had a bad cold a few weeks ago after getting the flu jab Didn't make a song and dance about it I don't think I mentioned it at all You need to man up and just get on with it like I did
Well being the shy retiring type ....I don't want all the fuss ...so I just knuckle down and get on with it
Having a beer before I sit down and chill out after a hard drive to York and back from Brum today. I will have a Glenmorangie or two and perhaps a glass of Jura which is far more peaty than the G.
Drinking Grimbergen and Leffe - thinking about the death of Johnny Haliday who died early this morning.
Just working my way through a can of Karlsquell - bière 7.8% costs 0.69 euros per 500ml can. Just for Jez - BLUE CANS !!!!!!
