Today I took the Street Triple and Helmut the Tuono to the outskirts of Cheltenham to run an errand. Very chilly and a bit foggy when we set out but soon warmed to chilly rather than very for the rest of the day . We went to Gloucester Airport for a coffee and some lunch and it became apparent from the amount of spotters on the way in that there was something good there…which turned out to be a Vampire which was brilliant; Helmut got a few photos and videos . We also saw a Meteor come on to land. After that we returned home via Dom’s Bike Stop so got some good mileage in today on some great roads to ride .
Spring finally came to Gothenburg. Taken some rides running in the TEC cam. Even some short runs to rev limiter, it just revs so willingly, never had that problem with the stock cam. Well worth upgrade. My son bought a MV Agusta Brutale so been riding with him, changing bikes. No way i can keep up with him, that thing is fast and the way it handles in curves is just unbelievable. But it is nervous, half an hour on it and i am exhausted!

Rode the Trophy out of the shed, massive fuel leak!! after stripping tank seat etc found cracked fuel line from tank to carbs at fuel tap end ( could be E10 connected?) Shortened pipe and reconnected, seems OK now, fingers crossed.
So today my mate Colin (dressed in his DGR outfit) brought his new BSA Goldstar round for a couple of photographs with me (dressed in my DGR outfit) and my beloved Street Cup so we can produce some sponsorship forms. So I fire up the SC to get her out of the garage and into position; the engine revs up to about 1.5k rpm and starts to drop to about 1k (as it always has since I bought it), I begin to let the clutch out and it barely begins to bite when the engine stalls (never done that before). Try again, same again. Start again, this time I leave it in neutral and just watch what happens, it revs up to 1.5k drops to ~1k and stops. Oh no. Blood begins to run cold and I begin to wonder if its the new TEC cam (the idle is, as @Tommi Saarento said in his post, “a bit lumpy but in a good way”). So I try again, but give the throttle a good +ve couple of blips before it drops back to 1k, got a lovely growl (post fitting TEC cam) and she seemed to idle fine. Just to make sure that all was well, l rode her down the drive into the car park and back, up all good. So the fuel (only ever use E5) level was nearly empty (two bars) put in in March this year, weather has been rubbish and apart from short trips of a few miles not really done much. So, enjoying the cool evening sunshine here in Cheshire, I set off to fill up and have to ride through a huge wet patch due to a burst pipe. 2 miles later I fill up with E5 again Glorious cool evening short ride and for some strange reason it takes 30 miles to get back. I love the tyres and new cam even more. Ticking over on the drive as I put her to bed, no problems. But then, parked up, I spot that she's now dirty due to the burst pipe, so tomorrow I'll be losing a chunk of my day off cleaning her. Definitely a good news / bad news day. Should I worry about that unwillingness to idle when cold? Still love her when she works.
Hi RevPaul. Happened to be scanning the forum when you sent this. I have driven mine now for about 1000km:s with the TEC cam. No problems at all, runs fantastic. Though i do not run the stock mapping, bought a map from DNK when the dike was still stock and running that so far even with the cam. Started using 98 octane E5 fuel though, not that i think it really matters but feels better! During weekend if i find the time i will download a map i got from another member of this forum that's dyno tuned on a Cup with TEC cam and X-pipe. I will keep my cat on place so will probably run a bit richer and not get out the last HP:s he got but his figures were impressive.
Thanks for the reassurance. I’m hoping it was just the low fuel level in the tank or that I’ve only been able to do short runs so far. I don’t really want to do a remap or run a decat because apart from today I’ve been delighted, the engine just seems more flexible and willing, the vibration above 3.5k is much reduced and that brick wall effect from ~4k where the engine feels strangled has gone. And I’d swear she’s got a deeper more powerful growl now.
Absolutely no problems. Prior to fitting the flat bars this length of ride would have been challenging. However the flat bars have transformed the bike. A much more comfortable riding position
Due to a small whether window of opportunity with good conditions I made a 70 km tour with my wife and our Bonnies. We stopped at a local reptile zoo and we were surprised about the big amount of different animals there. After that we rode to our local icecream shop and had some delicious icecream there. @Markus thank you - there are some great photos there of the reptiles. The bikes and food look pretty good too . I hope your wife is enjoying the difference the screen makes on her bike?

@Mrs Visor: Yes, you are right. For her height the wind shield works great. The wind pressure against the whole upper body and the arms is nearly not noticable anymore while riding.
Not on the triumph, but in the car. Went to the BSB at Oulton Park. Wet early doors, but dried out towards lunch time. Some fantastic racing in all classes.
