@Oldskool, good to hear it fella... mind you, with another storm brewing, bet you’d have happily stayed out there till it’s blown over?
I fitted some rear R&G spindle bobbins to the T595 today so I can use my universal Oxford paddock stand. What I didn’t anticipate is not being able to spin the back wheel because the bobbins spin with the wheel. Doh!!
Yeah, I thought that and even removed and refitted them to be sure but then I looked it up and they are supposed to move with the wheel. On a single sided swinging arm fitment anyway. Oh well, no biggy.
Lol stupid old me. I thought you were replying to the sausages a couple of posts ago. Wondered why they needed greasing. Doh.
Started my project on the Rocket. Pieces removed and taken to paint shop, Radiator cowl changed and considering which way to go with the tail tidy
Ran up to the local rip off merchants to brim the tank before I leave it to go to work. Came home rinsed it off and wrapped it up. That'll be it until next year , so at least two and a half weeks before it gets out again.
Exposed "Big Fatty" today and worked out my wire re route and tail tidy. Ordered some parts and confirmed pricing of painting all me bits! Will keep you up to date.
went for a ride and parked up with all the Harleys, at a harley bike shop, had a look at the ev Harley not that impressed at $36000 au
After 4 months our border was opened for travel out of Auckland. The rain cleared giving me a window to head to the beach for a decent 2 1/2 hour ride. Feeling it now, but loved every minute with very minimal traffic (first day open). Everything was overgrown, but I see the council have repaired our drain the new seat was magic, @Sandi T, with just a quick nature stop at Tairua on the Coromandel coast around the 1 3/4 hour mark.
Warm, dry and zero wind on a December day can only mean one thing; a bike ride. So got my gear on and pulled the Tiger out of the garage and headed onto the Cheshire roads. Not much traffic about so able to enjoy a super winters ride.
Weather was so nice, decided to have lunch on the beach Down side of living slap bang in the middle of England is that I had to 'endure' 3 hours riding each way to get there Was glad when the clouds rolled in for the last hour as I was riding into the sunset and juggling combinations of sunglasses and drop-down dark visor.
How much would $3600 au be in U.S. dollars, @Jadorff? I've never been impressed with the LiveWires' (over)pricing, although it has dropped from about $30K to around $20K in the United States the last I heard. I had the opportunity to test ride the LiveWire electric Harley back in October 2020 at a dealership in the Phoenix area. I'd never been a bit interested but I thoroughly enjoyed riding the bike!! I did a little review that's included in a ride report thread I posted in October of 2020 if you're curious. https://www.thetriumphforum.com/thr...-electric-livewire-and-the-low-rider-s.26729/ Relatedly, I just saw this article yesterday on www.motorcycle.com and found it pretty interesting. https://www.motorcycle.com/features...re-public-announces-new-arrow-powertrain.html
Got my bits back from the painters. Couldn’t resist putting the easier parts on at the front. Think it will look much improved once finished.
