New colour..from white to black and powdercoated red wheels...today I will fix the problem with the long gps cable....hope for a dry day now.
Love it! Comment from the handsome husband, "Oh, wow! That looks really nice, doesn't it!?" He tends to be rather reserved in his expressions so that's saying a lot.
Fitted the engine bars and the new tyres today. A 4mm HD tube went in the front but it seems they're not made in 17". I almost bought a new standard Michelin tube for the back but decided I might as well keep the original. Dang! if I haven't pinched the tube on the refit so get to do it all again! The original tube looked quite thin (that's my excuse anyway) so I'll see if I can pick up a Michelin locally.
Daytona 955i now has fully working electrics - previous owner's indicator bodge sorted. Now to get on with the jobs that led me to remove the left side panel in the first place - throttle and clutch cables DS
The standard factory plating (zinc?) on practically every bike I've owned has been shite. Forget salted Winter roads, a few wet rides in Summer and the corrosion sets in. My quick/easy/cheap fix has always been to clean up the sprocket and spray it with silver (or whatever colour you want) wheel paint which is durable enough and lasts the life of the sprocket. I've just done the SS rear sprocket after 4K of mostly dry rides.
Installed some quick release brass seat bolts from Motone Customs on my T100. They look great with the gold Triumph logo and the brass snaps on the panniers.
have a look on the blokes Instagram page who made the pipes. https://www.instagram.com/p/CI3t_Q3hdoq/?igshid=w9gprrlecrp0 first proper ride on it tomorrow so may upload a video when I get back
Couple of things. New front stand (Sportsbikeshop), a new tank pad set, diddy little stickers on the sides and a carbon inlet thingy. Fitted the slightly small plate too..... Started her up just to enjoy that barking noise. A good morning.
