Fitted a Denali mini soundbomb and what a difference, I couldn't get it to work at first then I looked on the Internet and found out that it needs the engine running for it to get the power.

Duck, I’m struggling. Why on earth would you fit an anti-aircraft sight to a fixed surface lines mount? Are you familiar with beaten zones (don’t answer) and interlocking/overlapping arcs (ditto - don’t answer)!?

    Thanks! Yes, it certainly does.
Maybe a bit too much tbh but I knew that when I got it. 107db at 5200rpm apparently and you can’t get baffles for it.
When it starts, you can "feel" it in your chest.
As I generally pootle about anyway, i'm not making much noise in northants!

You Know it's cold @MadMrB when you are riding along and think you can hear the engine knocking and it's only your nut's against the tank

Using XCP rust blocker for the first time. I painted it on my Speedmaster 1200 rims and spokes, then I lifted the tank , seat, and sprayed underneath tank and finished with paintbrush and a squirt or two of ACF50 on any loom connections I could see.
The idea is I will use Scotoiler FS360 on top of existing XCP.
I will leave XCP until it drys first.
Being safety conscious I siphoned the fuel as It was nearly full so I disconnected the battery first, just in case.
    What a hassle!!
It was tricky to disconnect but trying to get the positive back on with my pigtail charger and glove heater ends then slide the battery back in with no clearance. The negative side was not to bad but what a performance...wont be doing that again in a hurry.
Not very easy to work on the Speedmaster/Bobber.

Rode the Thruxton into north Shropshire for a run around. It was lonely at the Raven cafe which is unusual

Apparently the Wehrmacht figured the MG34 could be used for close anti-aircraft support. Given the high rate of fire, it could do some damage to planes close by.

    Spotter Alert!

Let’s be clear, it’s the bullet that does the damage - whether 30-06, .303 British or 7.92x57 Mauser (all pretty much identical ballistic performance) NOT the weapon that fires it. Sure the MG34/42 has a high rate of fire which increases your chances (a bit) but you still need to be within 1,000 yds as performance drops off fast.

However, my real point was about Duck’s mount which is for firing on fixed lines in the ground role. You could neither elevate nor track with the speed needed to engage aircraft. Your illustration IS of an AA mount.

Let’s be doubly clear here, it’s not the bullet or the gun that does the damage but the person, who just so happens to get it on mail order without any background checks :joy::joy:

You can always scratch a AA sight into your visor and go "pew pew pew" all day!?
    Far cheaper too!!!!!
And, possibly more accurate !! ;):)

Try one of these mounted to your headlight

Shipping may seem a bit steep but I think it’s a bargain for a Rocket Launcher;)

What have I been doing with my Triumph today? Well, I was planning to ride it! But my bike evidently had other ideas. After a 465 mile overnighter with Mr. Sandi on my Street Glide Friday and yesterday, I was looking forward to zipping about on my smaller and lighter Speed Triple with our Sunday ride group today. I had my helmet and gloves on and my bike wiped down and backed into the driveway with Mr. Sandi ready to hit the road on his bike. Click, click. I got nuthin'. Actually, on the first try it sounded like it would start but after that, dead as a door nail. I was not a happy camper to say the least. No warning of anything amiss on previous rides. I’m assuming and hoping it’s just the battery. I’m also hoping the battery is included in my warranty because I’m still within my two year warranty period by about a month. So anyway, I did a quick swap out of boots and hopped on my Harley which fired right up...very reliably. ;):joy: I’m thinking this is one more sign that I need to get a third motorcycle again.
