Why does everything happen to me? I ordered the new clutch cable from Baxter Cycle last Thursday, and being in a spendy mood, ordered a Nology coil for Virginia too. On Monday, got a small box from them with the Nology coil, but no clutch cable. Steamed all night, but installed the new coil with success. Called Baxter the next day and asked about the cable. I could almost feel the guy planting his hand on his forehead in frustration. Sorry, Sorry he says. I'll ship it today, and no postage charge. Got it today, along with a swell 2021 Triumph calendar (that they were peddling for $20), to smooth things over, I guess. Figured out the root cause of the failure, as the aftermarket lever's cable hole was slightly too small. The new cable had the same looking plastic sleeve and would not fit. Using the handy Dremel tool, with a milling head, I took off a few thou and fit it right. All back together now and ready to take to work in the morning.

Surely you could put the ammo box in the wicker basket? And the rack you've already got looks ok.

Hmm.. A bit more finesse, but it's really amazing what you can do when you horse down on it. At any rate, got to work without incident, and a pleasant ride home in the PM.

what I will be doing is risking life and limb out there today running the wife to Durham University Library for a staff meeting while I bugger off for 40 mins and then bring her home again

probably run to Ludworth Tower (a County Durham ruin) and take some photos

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thanks for your suggestions The 'squeak' seems to come and go a bit.
I can't recall if it was there when I last cleaned the chain up on the paddock stand so I will have a look/listen tomorrow.
