Thanks, someone else recommended that too. Did wonder how you brace it, or does it have enough mass that the inertia of the tool is enough? Also, the problem with the first tool I used was that the recess in anvil forming the rivet head was the same diameter as the pin I was riveting, so it had no room to spread. (The chain I was replacing had pins 0.3mm smaller, so it probably would have worked with that.)
the hardest part of replacing a chain is putting the side plate on, peening the soft link over can been done with a punch and hammer,if you google installation of a new motorcycle chain with a whale chain tool by Tsubaki rider it will show you how the whale chain tool works, I would have uploaded it but I don’t have a clue how
What sort of meeting is this?? Legitimate? North of glossop on the way past the Scenic reservoirs is a small farmhouse tea room that’s nice. Failing that the Main Street has lots of home cooked eateries. What time you meeting?
Thanks. You just need to write a link. Or just cut'n'paste the URL (address) like Edit: Ooh, I see that if you just paste a YouTube URL the forum software turns that into a video preview.
Tested out the new Rizoma bar ends ( LOVE) and upped the front brake ratio setting to max ( 21) much better feel and response
@SuperHans Years ago I replaced the discs on my GSXR750 with Brembos as the originals were knackered. When it came to renew my insurance one company refused cover as my improved braking performance meant I would be going into corners faster and so more likely to crash! WTF?
I would just love to have a good sit down with the insurance company that gave you that answer and have a chat around the logic in that sort of policy or statement. Another question would be "Ok, I found a pair of really crappy discs for £10 on aliexpress or wish, they are known to be amazingly crap, do I get a cheaper insurance with these?" Some insurance companies or if its just some of their staff making stuff up (I do wonder sometimes) never ceases to amaze me.
The problem is you are making logical and rational decisions, something that is completely foreign to the insurance mafia. It's all about money and how much can be extracted from customers with nothing in return. Sounds like they have worked long and hard with your government regulating bodies to gain the authorization to be capricious and absolute, without fear of reprisal. The result of a social fixation on "safety", and government knows best.
Errm... I'm not consciously aware where it came from. As Duckadiledundee observed, reminiscent of Also maybe like something that might be said in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
I got something similar for the car after I got charged 60 quid by dealer to tell me what was wrong. Tried it on bike and it didn't seem to know about it other than to give things like batter voltage and a small amount of other general info.
Been riding the Thruxton and Interceptor for the past few weeks, so today I got the tiger out. I had forgotten how good this bike is. It pulls like a train and is so comfortable, I love it
