Hi Wessa I got it from a medical company who specialise in gel seating for hospitals etc and also do bike seat gel pads and inserts https://danmedicasouth.co.uk/ Ordered Sunday and arrived Tuesday
As promised, Mrs Mouse got a trip to the seaside today for a swim in the sea. 100 miles (3 hours) each way on a mix of main roads and country lanes to get to the Lincolnshire coast. The ride there in the morning was perfect weather wise and there was a cool sea breeze on the beach, which made things nice. However with things heating up in the afternoon and coming inland on the way home, the heat made things a bit less than fun. Especially as I foolishly got my legs sunburned at the beach, which I didn't realise until I was stuck in rush hour traffic, at 30C, full sun, and radiator fan blowing heat from engine onto legs: it certainly stung! No bike pics this time, and nobody wants to see the beach pics so just this homage to Reginald Perrin..,
https://danmedicasouth.co.uk/motorcycle-seat-pads/ I find them comfy but the strap on type have a weird fore and aft rolling motion under acceleration and braking. Much better incorporated in the seat.
I did a round trip of about 370 miles today. A 1,000 cc triple with 4 wheels and a co-pilot North and a 1050 with two wheels South via Royal Deeside and Glenshee. My T100 went to a new home last week and I have a barely used 2018 TS in its place. Chalk and cheese......
I did Whaley Bridge, Snake Pass, Ladybower for the first time a couple of weeks back. Absolutely loved it. No idea why I haven’t ridden it before; its fairly local to me. Definitely going that way again
Ashridge Estate and Ivinghoe Beacon for me tonight. Busy at both, but loads of bikers and Fiat owners at Ivinghoe. Happy days.
Well , today I finally finished a project. My "98" sprint executive had been bugging me. It took far Too long to respond to throttle being opened up ! Went to JCS Perth Triumph dealers and enquired about getting a new front sprocket . wanted to gear her down ! One of the salesmen said it had been geared up the last time she was in for a major ! So I went and bought a standard front sprocket ! Long story shortened , she was standard front , rear had been down sized to gear her up ! So two weeks later she now has 17f/48r std is 17f/46r , what a difference ! She picks up Instantaneously ! As soon as throttle moves she is off much happier , both of us ! Hopefully the fuel economy will return/improve. cheers capt
Today I replaced the original gear linkage with this little beauty. Much cleaner, and more direct gear changes.
That looks great @Vulpes , I just fitted a folding one to my old Transalp, sick of having to straighten it when I drop it off road
This one folds as well, actually. But it folds to the front, as it's a Yamaha lever fitted back to front...
Today I’ve adapted my street triple tail pack to fit my scrambler 1200 rack, I’ve managed it without drilling the rack by using the existing holes and slots but I had to drill the harness which the bag fastens to,
Pm me your address and i'll send you a meter tomorrow . I have a spare one. I'll even put batteries in it so no excuse to not use it....
