Swapped the accessory dual seat back to the solo with mini rack on the SS as I'm sure the dual seat is less comfortable than the original.

Also dropped off the side panel at a local place to get it colour matched to the white of the bike - tempted to get it made into a Triumph Street Scrambler Kingsman edition as the Scrambler 1200 Bond edition is a bit naff IMO

Went out the tiger today. Run over for cuppa and bacon butter at my favourite tea van. Very windy out, and only seen four other bikes. Obviously everybody has stayed in from the wind....

Last week I managed to drop my scrambler 1200 while turning it round on some rough ground,It didn’t hit the floor hard and I stopped on my feet but it managed to knock the handle bars slightly out of line, I’ve had a few goes at sorting it while out riding but couldn’t get it just right so today I put the bike on the stand and loosened the front end everything but the top clamp bolts then bouncing the front end,to cut a long story short it didn’t work but getting the front wheel between my legs and giving the handle bars a good tug sorted it.

I took the Thruxton out for a ride today. Met up with my son on his MT-09 and we spent most of the afternoon riding around the lanes of North and East Yorkshire. Although the winds have been strong all day, one blessing is its kept most of the MAMILs at home. I went out mid week and the buggers were everywhere. :( It was also interesting to note that certain filling stations which had been selling unleaded at sub £1/litre prices have now jacked up their rates by 6 or even 7p per litre in just a few days.

Picked up the recovered stock seats on my Speedmaster, really pleased, they made the pillion seat a little wider and more comfy as well. Stockbridge seats did the work near Andover.

Took Norbert for his first service yesterday, triumph Newcastle were great, was a bit weird just leaving it and having very limited craic but it was left in good hands.

Checked over, oil and filter changed, shaft drive oil changed, now that's done I'm gunna see if I can wheelie it later :joy:

As I'm using the SS to go to and from work at the moment, and need to carry lots with me, it was time to take off the kind-of-stylish but not overly capacious rugged pannier...

    IMG_20200524_113942.jpg

and pop on the Givis for more capacity...

    IMG_20200524_120227.jpg IMG_20200524_120306.jpg

Think it needs a bit of a wash as well

You were lucky our local shell garage has started scamming customers by charging them £1.31 for fuel at the pump at £1.11.
Keep a check on what the pump says before you pay.
Apparently when challenged they had the difference all ready to give back . Thieving Scum. And they are top of the table for card skimming. Thieving Scum x2

I've just filled up the Thruxton at our local Morrisons, still 99.7p/ltr there for unleaded.

    £1.31!!!

Shell always seem to be more expensive that most other petrol stations, but there is no excuse for their behaviour on pricing

Good day today, fitted some mirror extenders as I’m fed up of seeing my elbows and not the police car that was behind me a few weeks ago . Changed the front sprocket for a 19T, cleaned and oiled the chain. Then gave Betty a test drive. Please with the 19T sprocket dropped about 500 rpm off so 70 mph was 4000 rpm and makes the gears feel better set up.
