Does that first photo really say $2.24•9 for 91 ? Is that per litre ? I thought $1.66 per litre for 98 was expensive !!
Sure does Capt. 2/3rd of our price is tax. Last year they started adding city road tax of $0.10 a litre, so it is cheaper outside the Auckland region. I got some 98 for $2.18 on our travels. Thankfully I only use 98 on big rides as a clean out each 1-2 months.
WoW . Here you can get 98 on the cheap days for around $1:50. I'd have to quit my retirement to afford to ride as often as I am , or have cut back to a fortnightly basis . Our Anniversary ride away to the Nannup and Bridgetown region would have almost doubled in costs , just on those fuel prices alone !
Our diesel sits at $1.50 but has road miles on top (two axles under 3.5 tonne costs $72 per 1,000km). It makes it tough @capt even working as my second fav pastime is fishing, so I need to save to go out. Could be on the rant thread, except I love my bike and boat and it costs what it costs
Took advantage of the good weather to do 6 hours riding too and around the Peak District including a stop at Monyash for lunch. Would have gone further but even with nice weather there's just not enough hours of daylight this time of year... (Sorry for the double image, despite the 'delete' option for images you can't actually seem to actually delete images.)
Weather was good in Wales too. Bright and sunny but cold. Great ride to Llandovery for lunch at the West End Café - lamb casserole was amazing. 400 miles on my new Tiger now in just over a week. Gets better with every ride.
Put a tiger in your tank Where do these marketing people dream things up from, probably classed as cruel and inappropriate these days in case somebody tried it
Must be a different mouse, this one doesn't hang out with rats (Seriously, I've never posted to the Triumph Rat forum.)
Five hundred odd millilitres sounds about right for each fork leg, though you need to do the air gap check to be more accurate.
My bonnie went back to the shop on Monday and they loaned me this suzuki sv650 whilst they are fixing it and I finally got out on it today for a local 30 miler, a fun easy nippy bike to ride, reminds me of a cross between my revere and a trials bike. Bloody cold out today!
No surprise, it is a fun runabout, with lots of good characteristics, and that explains why they have been making them for 20 years.
