Well I started it at 7:30 til 9 then recommenced at 14:00 and just finished. Cleaned and lubed the chain, removed the brake callipers cleaned and greased them, then a good wash down, dry and fs365’d, Sweated my Bollox off, almost used a box of gloves, came to the conclusion that Sdoc100 is a load of shite! Reckon I’ve got to replace my chain(sprockets)
Need new tyres and a 24000 mile service!!:mad:
Good job I love my tracey and I’ve got a load of work coming up

Well, as I’m not a “destitute” pensioner like @Tiglet I can’t use my “pension” on brand new bikes so keeping my old one going is the cheaper option

Thanks for that mate - that would've been really helpful if I had 't made a mistake - it's actually the alternator rotor that's b@ggered... a bit more pricey, and I don't have the tools to replace that...

Not sure what has failed - I had it looked at because of a no charging issue, and they came back telling me the rotor was at fault. I'll ask Saturday and report back...

I'm sure I've seen pictures on here of the windings on some speed triples where they had shown signs of overheating/burnt out for some reason. Gladly I can report that mine looks in fine fettle. Sadly I know this because I had to change the cover when it suffered minor damage after the bike slipped off its side stand :mad::mad:

Is it a little bit like Father Ted over there, Father Jack would make a good drinking partner for Dilli.

Totally agree, I'm not citicising the driver, I know the road well so I was reasonably prepared. Although I was quite impresed by how quickly the brakes pulled me up (and there was more to give), Bonneville brakes get a lot of criticism but I've always thought they are perfectly adequate, although I have put HEL braded hoses and EBC sintered pads on mine.

Yesterday I fitted a new YSS monoshock to my Daytona and gave the forks a service, new oil and a clean up.
So today’s job is to go out and set them up on a nice long ride. Thankfully it’s a little cooler today :grinning:
