Across the fields Steve, I live about a mile from that line. With the wind in the right direction I can hear the odd whistles as the steam locos trundle through sporadically.
The bike and the company with you makes a big difference. The 675 owner and I met in 1987 doing our part 1 tests together. We have been best mates since despite numerous bikes and wives etc between us.... I'll clarify that point for the deviants here; the numerous bits weren't of a shared nature
Ah well, we caught a number of those donkeys up but despite being as slow, at least they're not as wide as caravans
The RD owners club run on Friday had a photographer with them, I left Compton Abbas just after they did and he was set up on Zig Zag hill taking pics, I noticed he was pointing the camera at me so after a little detective work earlier found his page on Faceache, my other half messaged him (I'm not on it) and he sent a couple of pic's
I’d use 1/30th of a sec exposure and pan the camera whilst shooting to get a movement effect... Trouble is you have to take loads of shots as 99.99% are totally blurred, out of focus, and/or framed badly. Did I mention i’m a nerd? Examples were taken at a super car thingy at Dunsfold (the Top Gear track) for a children’s charity. I think some cameras/phones cheat and use AI to post process the image to tinker with blur and depth of field.
Crispey, if you come out of Leyburn aiming North on the A6108 after about two miles on your left it's there. If you get to Bellerby you've just missed it. It actually looks a bit like you're turning into a farmyard. There is in the same yard a bike clothes shop. Automoto racing - AMR
Ah that's possible as it was known as Manor Farm cafe but (edit, not so recently lol) recently changed hands. As HV correctly says name now has Kath in it somewhere.
@crispey I think it may have reverted back to Manor Farm Cafe mate. According to their Facebook page it has been under new management since Aug 18
Cheers! I do have it but I have it as biker Kaths kitchen says it was formerly known as manor farm cafe
I have to agree with you that I prefer the "in motion" effect of a photograph where the subject is...on the move, as you were saying though that a lot come out blurred I guess the photographer didn't have that option in that situation, like your pic's by the way Cyborgbot.
Depends whether you ride like Miss Daisy or rip it up like Michael Dunlop? Is the 12K service including the valves?
Are you still in warranty? If not the risk is entirely yours so please yourself. If however you are under warranty then I would have thought plus minus 500 miles reasonable. Personally I'd keep it under 12999 miles. Why would you presumably try pushing it too far as it really makes no sense. Do it on a credit card if funds are tight and buy yourself a months grace
