Fitted a new neutral switch, as the original was doing the "I'm not going to work when I'm hot" dance. Bought from Sprint Manufacturing, epic fast service by the way, ordered Wednesday evening after 5, and here today, signed for. Fitted, and tested, all good, so had to have a run out to make sure the wheels went round as well.
Fitted a keyless fuel cap and radiato/oil guard to Rosie rs....... why is it a 5 minute job ends up being a complete pain in the arse. Looks good, so I'm happy and the key doesn't have to leave my pocket. On a side note, came across the biggest spider I've ever seen, so it was a case of kill or be killed cos was a feck gunna ask it for rent.
A photo, taken at a about half one in the pm (look at the length of the shadows!) on the B871, Loch Achnamoine in the background.
I think some folk might be surprised how bleak and relatively featureless chunks of the Flow Country are. Sometimes it feels like you have stepped off the edge of Scotland!
Only if you want to corner with the bike leant over at 60 degrees. As long as you ride sensibly and aware of the conditions there's no issue. Well that's my uneducated opinion anyway
Well clearly your Michelin tyre tech neighbour knows the various compounds in intimate detail but 9c is +2c warmer than Michelin’s own recommendation for switching car tyres (and, by the way, they want to sell you a set). Moreover bike tyres are softer rubber and far more variable in their optimal use range from my Granny Pilot Activs to track day tyres that do need heat to work properly. Finally, temperature is not the only grip variable. There is also the choke hold, the half Nelson........ and I thought I was anal!
DD has started a thread named "Snowflake of the day award" ? I'd probably be in there somewhere near the top cos I don't ride mine when it's winter.
Sometimes I just wheel Terry thunderbird out the garage and look at him or and acf-50 the others. Was thinking about getting him wrapped but thought.... why!? so looked at him some more and put him back to bed.
Thought about fixing it then as usual other things got in the way... Like Tesco`s ,McDonalds & keeping the peace Lol....Maybe tomorrow?
No, sorry, I can't fault you, yer gurt great soft lump! And there I was thinking that I'm a silly bugger! Suddenly I feel slightly sane!!
