@dilligaf Maybe one of these will keep you happy? Great for late GMU evenings too!!! https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/392086483434
I not so long ago threw one of them out along with lots of other kids toys....well my son is 19yrs old now and hasn’t played with them for......months
Well I went to Sunny Hunstanton on the Bonny today and had a coffee on the prom. While there, 8 Triumphs of all types turned up and the owners all had fish and chips, and once they had scoffed they were off again. Hunny seems to be more popular than ever.
Having a few days off after working my nuts off in the heat and today it's gonna piss down so the shiny Triton (just polished her up yesterday) stays in the garage
Today was MOT day. Passed with flying colours ..... of course. (I am talking about the bike obviously! I have trouble passing anything other than wind, which I am quite good at, even though I say it myself!)
Another tatting day...…..Daytona 1000 still taking up my time lol. I tested the Thermo the other day so I know it works. Today the old beast fired into life no bother but once again the fan didn't kick in when the needle started to go too high for comfort so bypassed the fan switch straight from the battery to the fan & yippppeeeee it spun up! At last i know its the switch.Ive ordered a FAE 1435059 Volvo switch which someone else on here tried ages ago. They say it kicks in a few degrees earlier than Triumphs own. Rear caliper is freeing up sloooowly lol so get these 2 things sorted then hope to get it MOT`d next week. Then im gonna thrash thee ass of it for causing me soooo much grief lol....but loved every min of sorting these little problems out
Okay, so not exactly 'today', but I went to visit the Craven Collection of bikes and memorabilia etc at Stockton on the Forest near York last Sunday and took a few photos (61 to be exact!) some of which will follow. An interesting display, mostly in working order, and not over restored.
Yet another tatting day on the much ignored Daytona 1000. The rear brake caliper is getting there ,yes I should just buy new pistons n seals but im tight so as it aint going anywhere I may as well try .Went to the spares bin & sorted a new front indicator which broke when the bugga fell over earlier this year. Nearly cought it but its bloody heavy lol. Teach MaGoo here to check BOTH parts of the centre stand are on the slab Every now & again the fuel tap plays up so had that apart. I have 2 taps so mixed the bits up & all seems well with the finished article. The fan temp switch arrived (cambiare VE709039 ) fitted that. Now tanks back on n no leaks. Fire up in the morning . Lovin it
Just back from 5 days in France and Germany on the Exploder. I can thouroughly recommend the Vosges region of France, some stunning roads around the 'Grand Ballon' well surfaced (except for the 5 miles of loose chippings!) with fast flowing corners and not too much traffic. 1500 miles round trip with a stop off at Reims on the way back. Speldid!
