Perfect, FMR....... what do you reckon on the differences between the Bonnie and Speed Twin ?
I've had a 'Black' for a few years and enjoy it that much it's become the " everyday bike" , but may have the chance of a Speed Twin at a good price soon-ish ?
Old injuries in neck & shoulder have shown up lately with high winds ( and naughty speeds ! ) giving me hell, and thinking maybe the slightly more sporting position .. footrest's back a bit, etc, taking the blast off the chest and neck somewhat ... and I could also have pictures of the side by side parking, like yours, :D !!
Bumped into a bloke a couple of weeks back .. " Where's the Sporty Sport gone " ?
    " This is Triumph's Sporty Sport, mate " !!!!!!

Are the fork seals actually leaking from failure?
Look up fork seals cleaning tools for offroad bikes?
    Nothing special!
A piece of plastic, think credit card, cut with a hook shape on one corner.
Offer it up ..... inside the lip seal .... and hook around.
    Scrape out all the crud.

Many a time offroad bikes are parked up only to leak next time out.

Try it, what have you to lose?
It's been so successful so many times, if it doesn't work it hasn't cost you anything more ;)

As @chassis said, I rode it! :grinning: With my new job my mileage has been sorely down whether it's Speedy or my Harleys. But the weather right now is perfect and I'm on a bit of a break. So....I actually rode my Speed Triple two days in a row!:sun:

Saturday I did a solo ride up into an area called Saddlebrooke where I stopped for refreshment and made a call to a riding buddy who's even busier than me. Plus her bike is in the shop with a front brake problem. :(

    IMG_3422.jpeg

Saddlebrooke is a retirement area so there are probably as many folks driving golf carts as cars. :joy:

I rode Speedy again the next day (yesterday) on our Sunday morning ride. It was nice to do back-to-back rides on this bike since I didn't need to put the covers back on. I just left Speedy "naked" overnight. ;)

    Screenshot 2025-10-06 at 9.04.15 PM.png

We had six bikes out this morning. One Triumph, one BMW, one Suzuki, and three Harleys. We ate at a tried-and-true favorite, Oracle Patio Cafe. The temp was 55ºF at the start of the ride and low 70's on the way back home. The big news at breakfast is that our friends, Cassie and Chris, are going to be parents! That's them at the left of the photo. It came as a great but wonderful surprise to all of us. :)

Just as we were getting ready to leave, our buddy, Ek, drove up. Ek is a motorcyclist and rides with us fairly regularly. But he sustained a bad knee injury playing basketball and had knee surgery about two weeks before our friend, Russell, had his total knee replacement. The rest of us are hoping this knee stuff isn't contagious!

Thanks for the note- I currently have about 1700 miles on my T120 and I love it and will probably never have a reason to sell it. The upright and comfortable riding position is very nice. I bought the Triumph King/Queen seat and it is fantastic. Now - your question with the Speed Twin, it is a very different bike and more sport / performance oriented. I finally put it in "Sport" mode today and that thing is awesome. I am 65 years old and still enjoy riding a little aggresively on occasion. If I was to pick one the T120 would probably be more versitle and practicle. As you saw by my post I purchased an older 1st gen Speed Twin and have no regrets I love the looks much better. I put 100 miles on the Speed Twin today, came back and told the wife - I am never selling this thing! Enjoy, don't sell your T120 and pick up a used Speed Twin!

Nice to see you out @Sandi T. Those golf carts can be dangerous.....I might tell you my sorry tale one day :p.

Today I planned a route to call in at three places we'd never been to before to just have a change.

    Screenshot_20251010-185433~2.jpg
The first stop was The Old Prison at Northleach. It served very nice coffee and I had a lovely lunch of sourdough toast with avocado with seeds and poached eggs. Very tasty if you like that sort of thing!
    IMG-20251010-WA0004.jpg

Next up was a new placed called REVS Automobile on the Fosse Way. The coffee was lovely and it was a really friendly and welcoming place with lots of interesting things to look at. The food looked decent too. There was hard standing for bike parking, otherwise the car park was gravel; it was quite packed and I found it fine, but a lady dropped her bike on it :(.

Lastly, we went to the Twisted Spoon at Staplow, where Helmut had coffee and cake and I had a nice pot of mint tea.

What a great day out, @Mrs Visor! Love all the great photos. BTW, I also love avocado toast. ;) There will be a photo of mine from a couple of days ago when I post a thread about our two-nighter to the town of Prescott, Arizona. If you like that sort of thing... :joy:

Rode it! 80 miles round trip through a rural farmland. Trees are blazing with autumn color! Great ride.

Picked up a few groceries and tanked up! :)

Well started to clean up the Thunderbird it's funny people say I've washed it for you and then you take panels off and they stay on when you've taken all the bolts out because there is so much grease and crud sticking them to the frame it is very satisfying though to see you have made a difference although I lost an hour or so looking for a bolt I swore landed on the floor but just when I was going to give up I saw it perched on the wishbone just in front of the shock but all back together for now I think I have got to replace the rear brake master cylinder as the pedal goes down with no resistance at all and the brake light is staying on it had been stood since 2017 though so I've got to expect some parts are going to need replacing or at least striped down cleaned and new seals or the likes, but looking forward to getting into it to ride it out in the spring fingers crossed :yum

Rode it! A quick 30 minute spin to enjoy the lovely 74F day with filtered sunlight.

Feeling more confident in traffic and at busy intersections. Launching the bike from a stop more smoothly and confidently.

Hoping for a couple of hours in the saddle tomorrow afternoon. Grateful to be able to enjoy this machine.
