What Should I Test Ride ?

    Going up to Glasgow in a couple of weeks. Going for a wander around the Triumph / Ducati dealership.

    Not a speed triple, had a shot couple of years back, liked it, but I would just be comparing to the Tuono. Street triple too small. Not really interested in adventure bikes, yet.

    So what bike should I take out ?

    Try both the Ducati i and Trumph Scrambler, then a hypermotard then a, how long you there for before i add anymore

    Scrambler - nah, hate that high exhaust look.

    Speed Twin, now that's a nice looking bike (does need some USD forks).

    Nice, but done with drop bars now. Like sitting up looking around (and dislike the shoulder pain). :laughing:

    The bars that come on the R are fairly flat probably not dissimilar to the speed twin

    think outside your usual comfort zone, IE ride a bike you would not normally ride. This is what go me off sportsbikes and onto all sorts of other bikes since and I have had loads more fun.
    How about a Ducati diavil.
    I love the scramblers of all the Triumphs I think they are the most fun.
    I used to hate the look of speed triples but I have had 3, 955i, 1050, 1050R, probably the best 9-10 years on bikes, until my 1200XE :cool:

    The Speed has a more relaxed riding position with shorter T120 tank.

    By all accounts the 1200 Scrambler is great fun to ride.

    Hi Rich back to backs of the Speed and Thruxton the pegs look slightly lower in the speed but everything else looks remarkabley similar

    I think the correct and perhaps only answer to the question "What should I test ride?" is....everything that the dealership(s) will let you test ride!! :grinning::grinning::grinning:
