Most guys in NZ use the EZ Rider systems from North Carolina. They have touring system with 5” adjustments, but it is the 3” lowering that they all want to slam it on the ground at stop.
Would be great if a bike was too tall for you @Sandi T.

Thanks, @Dartplayer! I'll bet that this is the system I've seen on lots of the baggers on display at the Laughlin River Run over the years. Seems very cool. Fortunately for me, I'm tall enough at 5'7" that most bikes aren't toot all for me. Most of the ones that are are ADV bikes and I've no interest (yet anyway!) in those. :)

Beautiful sunset photo, @Yorkshireman. Looks like those we often get in the desert here in Arizona!

Brisk post-breakfast tour of the South Lakes... still heavy with tourists... I’m looking forward to the New Year when they clear off for a while!

A couple of pics of Coniston water looking cool!

I bet that goes well. What did you think Ade? I’ve heard the 1250 is a beast of a motor.

Yeah, it suits me fine mate! Easy engine power without being silly, reasonable handling (looking to swap out the metzeler tyres though) and could use a little a more suspension work than the standard available settings to be fully satisfied... brake’s are great and abs free!
    Nice machine

I’m not sure I would make use of the 1250’s extra push above the 1200, I can get to silly speeds in the (very usable) midrange on my pump without trying too hard.

    Thanks Ade for the report.

I had a look at one at the NEC bike show and it looked nice.

Who knows a test ride may be happening

    It's worth a test ride then ?
Just had a load of farkles for the GS for Crimbo so I wont be getting rid of it anytime soon. Besides,I've just sorted the suspension out.
Thought it was a bit high,I'd go it in max instead of min :oops:

I have noticed that when cruising at 70 which is 4000rpm it does hesitate, the dreaded emissions flat spot no doubt. I’d kind of didn’t want to have to Hilltop it but I can see myself making an appointment in the new year.:(

    I dunno

It says Max or Min, Dynamic or Road.
It's an 18 plate so I suppose it's the latest.

I’ve changed the damping and can feel the difference between road and dynamic, road feeling a bit floaty if I’m honest, but I’ve not felt the spring preload change even tho I’ve toggled through the settings. I read the manual and if I’m correct it alters the preload only when the bike sets off? Can you actually feel or see it change? I’ll have another play next time out, they salted the roads last night or I’d have been out again today.

Finally got a good blast out today (despite shitty weather)... Ulverston, Levens, Crooklands, Kirkby Lonsdale, Barbon, Dent (Dent head viaduct in the pics) Newby Head Gate, Hawes (for a great full English in the Penny Garth Cafe before it got busy), over Buttertubs (bit windy) to Tan Hill inn, Barras, Kirkby Stephen, Sedbergh, Kendal, Ulverston

A great route, but didn’t clock the mileage...
