A friend and I were out for a ride the other day, and came across this peg on the side of the road. It's obviously from a triumph, however we can't find which model or year it's from. Single mounting point (odd?)

Any ideas as to which it's from appreciated :)

    I'll try not to!:)

Most certainly incomplete, but we have to have a starting point for ground up restorations such as this, and on this occasion particularly, it is an excellent start!! The lack of frame, wheels, engine and body parts means that there is complete freedom to restore whichever bike we fancy.:yum:grinning::grinning::cool:

seriously, probably a rear footpeg as I think the guy would have noticed the front one come off and although rusty its hardly worn out so not too much use. Is the end bust or is it threaded and bolt come loose? also it looks like its a flattened oval, rear were like that and fronts were round

Does that not have the fork at the end so it can fold up or has it sheared before that?

Unfortunate mate, there was nothing else in the road or in the gutter. It does make sense that it'd be a pillion peg, because of the lack of wear etc. We were just curious if it COULD be identified, and it seems like a long shot

I think you'll find it's probably a part that has spanned loads of models/years.

Yes the mount has the fork part and the footrest slots in and is held in place with a bolt.
