Just changed the air filter on my 2016 Thruxton 1200, noticed a hole in the plastic filter cover, It’s clearly there on purpose as it’s through the centre of a plastic boss in the cover, but I wonder if it should have a screw in it to blank it off?, maybe they intended it as a clipping point for something?, you can see on the old filter where dirty air has come through it, seems strange, obviously not a major concern because it’s on the dirty air side of the filter, but things like this get my cogs whirring!
Got a reply from Triumph Not sure that the pipe he refers to is ever fitted though?, ref the pic from the manual , no mention of removing a pipe from that boss and the boss doesn’t look as though it’s designed to accept a pipe, if anyone else has a Thruxton 1200 please have a look and let me know. PS I know it doesn’t matter
