Just changed the air filter on my 2016 Thruxton 1200, noticed a hole in the plastic filter cover, It’s clearly there on purpose as it’s through the centre of a plastic boss in the cover, but I wonder if it should have a screw in it to blank it off?, maybe they intended it as a clipping point for something?, you can see on the old filter where dirty air has come through it, seems strange, obviously not a major concern because it’s on the dirty air side of the filter, but things like this get my cogs whirring! Not sure that the pipe he refers to is ever fitted though?, ref the pic from the manual , no mention of removing a pipe from that boss and the boss doesn’t look as though it’s designed to accept a pipe, if anyone else has a Thruxton 1200 please have a look and let me know.
    PS I know it doesn’t matter :)
