Rideout Weymouth Breakfast Run Sun 12th

A few lads are meeting at Rownhams West service 9am Sunday for a ride down to Cafe Oasis on the East side of Weymouth beach.

I am hoping my newly revived Sprint ST passes it's MOT & maiden test ride on Sat so I can join them, these tend to be spirited rides using the tag system to keep everyone headed in the right direction.

Any southern softies that want to come you are welcome, or any guys that live down Dorset way that want to come & say hello at the Oasis Cafe you are more than welcome.

Oh! and I'll try to remember to take some of the bikes too, most of my mates have super naked bikes now in an attempt to slow things down, Ex team mate Dave has sold his B*W 1000rr rocket ship & is riding a 20 year old 1200 Bandit on the road now, this was "to gid t'others chance" .... they still struggle!

 

Will do mate, was talking to Harley earlier as well, reckons he has turned from racing snake to porker due to lack of racing, somehow I don't think he will have much trouble getting back on the pace!

 

14 riders turned up, including all 13 of the Bakers Dozen that did the Spanish trip back in 2018, the first time all had been out on the road together since Spain.
It was a beautiful day, took the long way down via Salisbury, Shaftesbury, then onto the A350 down past Blandford before taking some B roads in through Crosseays & onto Osmington bay & into Weymouth.
Breakfast on the beach was very pleasant, the bay has quite a few out of service cruise ships at anchor, another sign of the times! Managed to get a picture of Dave who said hello to @Wessa , all in all a great debut ride for the Sprint ST, about 150miles covers by the time I got home.
One or two things to work on after this first ride, but will cover that in the thread in the Sprint forum.

 

This is the stoney end of the beach mate, mainly windsurfing & watersports, there is a large sandy beach further along by Weymouth town which would have been busier. But we were surprised that there were so many cafe tables available on the beach, normally the Oasis is packed.

 

Thanks mate, in the end it was no major project, all pretty much run of the mill stuff to get her back to life.
Fair play to former owner for keeping her in such good condition & for storing her correctly, made it a straightforward task.
