    Ah, seen summat similar in this months(March) practical sportsbike, in fact very similar indead based on the cbx750

    Hi Peter I'd better be careful what I say;)

    OK then it depends how long the ride is and who with.

    I have a number of friends who have classics, mostly 2strokes and we try to meet up and ride down to the Raven cafe at Whitchurch for breakfast at least once a month. Its about a 60 mile round trip with 90% being twisty roads:cool:. Sometime we may go the long way which can be +100 miles. For this my play tool of choice is my noisy Yam RD400.

    My Yam RD250 which I totally rebuilt about 7-8 years ago has not been on the road for 12 months. Its not that quick with my big fat arse on it:eek:

    The CB700 is used if I'm out and about and rain is in the air.

    The Tiger XC is used for more serious adventures. I do like my Tiger very much as it's physical size, high riding position suits me and its comfortable which is a big plus at my age:)

    So its a toss up between the RD400 and my Tiger XC :rolleyes:
