Just to say that as I refitted my Tec Tracker exhaust again to try and cure the leak from the silencer to the mid pipe I noticed a very loud rattle from the silencer. The internal baffle, not the removable one had come loose. To their credit Tec offered to fix it for free, but to save sodding around with postage etc., I got a local guy to weld it back in place. He did a nice solid looking job for a good price. Called him yesterday and dropped it off to him today and he did it while I waited. He also does casing repairs etc., for mcycles, no job too small. From my experience I would recommend him - M & J Welding in Aylesbury.

And for all your other non professional welding advice and tips I'm always available for forum members that don't know any better...

Out of curiosity @TonyG How much does a professional welder charge for his time and materials used???

If anyone is looking for any welding machines, Headshields, gloves or more give Britannia Welding Supplies a call tel 01252 333661. Let them know you have a Triumph and ask for Dave. You will get a discount.

He charged me £20 to do it there and then while I waited.

I wish I had the courage to just try stuff like welding, good on you.
