Thanks :) I've been imagining the glazed looks of forum members, probably just like those Mrs Mouse often gets. :)

Yes, basically right. Except as I learnt today, there's a system run by Cloudflare between us and the forum proper making things more difficult to work out. We talk to Cloudflare, and it's SSL certificate is OK, but it then talks to the forum web site proper for us and it looks like it's finding the .co.uk version has an out of date SSL certificate. Which Cloudflare then reports back as an error.

More like their driving licence is out of date, so we're less sure the driver is really who they say they are. But it's most likely they just forgot to renew it.

EDIT: To extend the analogy... In this case, we don't really care any way, because .co.uk isn't driving, just telling us to go take a lift with .com, and he does have a valid licence. :)

On a serious note, I was not expecting any useful or factually correct answers, this forum never ceases to surprise me, one of you always seems to know answers to strange questions. But as a word of caution if Duck has the right answers you have asked a depraved & twisted question

IT-security is something most find extremely boring, but if its the case I think its great what @Bad Billy did, share your concern/experience and that way we all learn something. Doesn't matter if its an issue with a bike or IT related.

And good analogy there @brown mouse, I will steal that right off and use the next time I get a questions about certificates.
