I am looking to purchase a TTR soon. If I were to purchase a used TTR I would have a motorcycle shop perform some type of a pre purchase inspection. What are some specific areas that should be inspected on this motorcycle? Does the TTR have any recalls or concern areas? What are some of the common problems?
There was a recall on fairings if fitted included in this was a recall for a replacement ignition barrel( only if a fairing is fitted) There was also an issue with the black rear shock covers that were changed for thinner clear one’s But other than that I don’t know of any other problems, I have a Standard not the R but it’s pretty much the same and very reliable
The clocks mist up at the bottom aswell on some of them in direct sunlight. Mine have been replaced and seem good upto now.
